If Aura had been more quick on her feet, she could have stupefied me by asking: “Where is the meteor, if there was a meteor?” The best I could say is “Everywhere, because traces of that material are in earth strata with dinosaur remains.” Even if this is true, nobody knows where the meteors are that hit earth before.

In 1999, scientists studying Meteor Crater reported in Science magazine that most of that asteroid melted and spread over the Four Corners region in Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado. They used to think it vaporized. Either way, it's no surprise nothing big has been uncovered.
