What I know about Russian space food is mostly freeze dried, prepared in hot water. The menu includes potatoes. Cargo spacecraft routinely deliver five types of bread, fresh vegetables, honey. Food in space loses flavor, so cosmonauts ask for like onions, garlic.

Mir spacecraft's menu 6 day rotation provides each person 3,100 calories each day. There's a vitamin supplement each 15 days also. 70 choices of meat, fish, poultry, potatoes, peas, cabbage, cheese, porridge. Nuts, yogurt …. Drink milk (powdered), coffee, tea, various fruit juice.

Four meals each day. For example:

Breakfast: Pork with sweet pepper, cheese, honey cake, prunes, coffee.

Lunch: Jellied beef tongue, praline candies, cherry juice.

Dinner: Ham, borscht with smoked foods, tallin beef, potatoes, cookies and cheese, applejuice.

Supper: Cottage cheese with nuts, meats, wheat bread, plum and cherry dessert, tea.
