U.S. History Revisited

CORONADO

I don’t know about your school, but the one I went to near Wichita, what I learned was America didn’t start happening until the pilgrims got off the Mayflower and settled on the east coast. Nobody ever mentioned Coronado’s expedition that got to near Albuquerque about a century before. – Sine can probably understand it.

Coronado was kind of like the Mars rover that didn’t hit pay dirt and didn’t stay on but did provide information that led to Don Juan de Onate’s founding, a few decades before the Mayflower, of San Juan in New Mexico at what had been, up till then, an Indian pueblo. And even that was a few decades before the Mayflower.

AURA

Maybe your school didn’t get into it, but methinks maybe the Indians learned about it?

CORONADO

Methinks you’re right on, girl.
